Here, you'll learn about our Founder and our Board of Directors, the people behind the vision.
Dr. Sherri left her post as a Clinical Psychologist to serve as Founder and Executive Director of Thriving Thoughts Global. She strives to shift cultural narratives about mental health from reactive, treatment-driven and stigma-perpetuating messages to education and conversation that prioritize proactive mental health care and mental ill-health prevention.
Dr. Sherri believes that mental health is a verb, not something that some people have and some people don't; rather, mental health can be practiced. She's on a mission to teach people how.
Kelly is an aspiring entrepreneur in the Hospitality Industry. Her passion for Mental Health Awareness stems from a Gen-Z perspective of change and innovation. She recently graduated with her undergraduate degree in Business Management and is currently pursuing a Master's in Business Administration. In addition to her interests in business, she travels often and enjoys exploring the outdoors with her dog, Gunner.
Erin is a Christian wife, empty nest mom, and avid traveler who loves tacos, guac and all things 80's! As a recovering driver, striver, and achievement chaser, she helps ambitious Christian women break free from overwhelm, overachieving and under fulfillment so they can carry out God's assignment with clarity, serenity and fulfillment. She and her husband Brian live in Chesapeake Beach, MD, enjoying empty nest life while cheering on their two adult daughters who are pursuing their dreams as business leader and artist.
Kandice works for Navy Federal Credit Union and fully supports our mission of serving members of the military and their family members. She is a mother of three boys from 9-28 years of age. She enjoys traveling, reading, and watching documentaries, especially true crime.
Michelle Hillaert brings more than 25 years of experience in roles relating to technology and communications. Michelle has dedicated herself to helping women live their full potential as a doula, life and fitness coach, motivational speaker and author. Having four daughters, nine sisters, and having journeyed with many women over the years, Michelle has experienced first-hand how as women, we often hesitate to respond with our gifts because we don't recognize that we are uniquely gifted and that the world - especially those we encounter on a daily basis - needs us to share these gifts. In light of this, she has a passion and proven capacity for flourishing young women in the Church through mentoring and leadership development.
Outside of work, Michelle has been married for over 23 years to her husband, Trent. They reside in Front Royal, Virginia and together have six children, 2 in college and four still at home, along with three dogs, a cat and a handful of chickens. She is a soccer mom and singer who loves leading praise and worship.
